Ps. 119:105 (NIV)
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. |

Hands that serve with love
Our work is not just skill, but service — hands guided by faith, caring for the most precious lives entrusted to us, while also caring for those called to do this work, too. (By the way: That's You.) |
Col. 3:23 (NIV)
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord. --- The work you do is valuable. You are valuable. God sees you and He knows your heart. Birth work is the holy, unseen work of legacy. Yes, even in the charting, tidying up, washing and folding, cleaning up blood, emptying bowls of vomit, palpation, catching, first breaths, speaking life over... These gifts and skills God has entrusted to you. You are a fruit on His vine. But you also may be deeply exhausted. He wants you to do this work. He has appointed this work to you, given you the gifts. And it is so important to pause and nourish yourself along the way by seeking your Father in Heaven, who will replenish and refresh your spirit as only He can do, so that you might continue to do this beautiful, difficult and challenging work. |
